POLICIES
Age Requirement Policy
25 years of age, no exceptions. Anyone driving must be 25
regardless if they are the primary driver or the secondary,
additional driver.
Insurance
Policy
All
renters must carry full coverage (comprehensive, collision and
liability) insurance on their current car insurance policy, at
the time of the rental, to rent from us. Liability limits
must be at a minimum of 100000 / 300000 / 100000 to
qualify. Your policy must be active with the same insurance
company for a period of 3 months or more to qualify. We do not
accept rental customers who have a high risk insurance rating
(SR Rating). We do not accept insurance policies underwritten
by Safe Auto, Eagle, Accurate, United Auto, Safeway, Unique,
as well as several others. If you hold an insurance policy
that is not well known, please call us and we can tell you if
we accept it. We do not sell any type of insurance coverage
for any of our rental vehicles.
Payment/Damage Deposit Policy
A $2500 Damage Deposit must be placed prior to every rental.
The following credit cards (including debit cards) are
accepted for deposit: VISA, Master Card, Discover and American
Express. A damage deposit is an authorization against your
credit card's credit limit. It effectively removes that
amount of credit from your credit line during your rental
period. This authorization does not show up on your credit
card statement as a charge, rather, it is just a hold. At
least 50% of the damage deposit must be placed onto a credit
card. There are no exceptions. You can use more than one
credit card. Any credit card that is used MUST be valid and
in the renter's name.
Cancellation Policy
There is a $200.00 cancellation fee if the
reservation is cancelled between 10-14 days of the start of
the rental. A 50% charge from the total rental price will
apply if you cancel between 7-10 days. A 100% charge of the
total rental price will be charged if the rental is cancelled
within 0-7 days of the rental start time.
Additional Drivers Policy
You may add ONE person to a rental for a fee of
$ 75.00. Additional driver must be present at the time of the
rental and must meet all of the qualifications as the primary
renter.
Rental
Day Requirements
On you
place a deposit and make a reservation with us, a reservation
confirmation will be emailed out to you. It will confirm
your vehicle, rental date, times and costs. It will not
contain any personal
information.
On the day of your rental, you will have to have 3 items on
your possession:
(1) Your valid driver’s license.
(2) Your proof of
insurance card.
(3)
The credit card(s) you used to make the payment(s) with.
If
you do not have these 3 items with you at the time of the
rental, WE WILL BE UNABLE TO RENT THE VEHICLE TO YOU due to
insurance requirements. A moving violation ticket stubs will
not be accepted as a driver’s license. All renters must
be present at the time of the rental. We require that
all first time renters to go through a short 10-15 minute
orientation on the vehicle that they will be renting. This is
done so that you will be familiar on how to operate the car in
a safe and efficient manner.
Rates
All rates are subject to change without notice.
Special
Offers may expire at any time. We reserve the right to
refuse/postpone rental due to severe weather, snow, past
driving record or any other reason that may jeopardize your
safety as well as that of the vehicle.
Mileage / Additional Costs
All rentals come with 100 free miles per day. Our weekend
package comes with 400 free miles. Our weekly (7 full days)
package comes with 500 free miles. Each additional mile
thereafter is charged at $1.00 in all of our vehicles. All of
our vehicles require 93 Octane gasoline. You will be required
to return the vehicle with as much gas in it as you originally
rented it with. Aside from paying taxes, the potential
extra mileage charge is the only other cost that is involved.
Driving Area Restrictions
Our vehicles
are allowed throughout the United States and Canada with a few
exceptions. We also do one-way rentals out of state as well.
If you plan to go out of Illinois, we ask you to provide us
with your itinerary.
Your Driving Record
To qualify to rent from us, you cannot have been cited for any
of the following within the last 3 years:

Reckless driving

Driving under the influence of a controlled substance (DWI or
DUI)

Leaving the scene of an accident

Operating a vehicle without insurance

Possession of a
stolen vehicle.
When you make a
reservation with us, you authorize Cloud 9 to run a MVR report
(Motor Vehicle Report) with the state to gather this
information.
Hours of Operation
As a family run business, we are generally open from 9am to
9pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We are here, however,
to meet the needs of our customers. If you should need
to pick up or drop off a vehicle before or after our hours of
operation, we will make every effort to accommodate you. We
do NOT offer a "key-drop" service after hours.
Directions
We are located in Roselle, Illinois, just 25 minutes
west of Chicago near the Schaumburg / Bloomingdale area.

SERVICES
Vehicle Delivery
Cloud 9
Specialty Car Rentals offers delivery and pick-up within the
Chicago land area. Airport delivery is $60 each way to O'Hare
and $80 each way to Midway. For delivery not to the airport,
we charge a $ 3.00 per mile flat rate, both ways. If you live
less than 10 miles away from our location, A $30 minimum
charge will be assessed. Call us for out-of-sate
delivery/pickup quotes.
Rainy Day Insurance
For $39.99, Cloud 9 will allow you to change your rental date
to any other open date as many times as you like if it is
raining at the time of your scheduled pickup time at our
offices or at your location if you are having it delivered.
Just pay for your rental in full and purchase the insurance 5
days prior to your rental date. Rain insurance does not apply
once your rental begins. You may not move your rental date if
you have not purchased this insurance.
Detail On-The-Go
Cloud
9 will at any time during your rental, drive out to your
rental vehicle and detail the exterior of it back to showroom
condition. Simply give us a call when the vehicle is idle and
set up a time for us to come out and clean it. Work, home,
while you’re at dinner- anywhere! Normal delivery rates apply
each way and there is a $30 minimum charge for detailing
services.
